In October 2003 the European Parliament introduced new legislation called Block Exemption (http://www.berr.gov.uk/consumers/fact-sheets/page38070.html) to ensure a free market in the sale and servicing of motor vehicles.

This means

Any service carried out in accordance with the manufacturers schedule will maintain the new car warranty
"You can be sure that when you have your car serviced you get technical expertise at a reduced cost as opposed to at the dealer

Although the manufacturer cannot stipulate where you car gets serviced they have the sole rights to carry out manufacturers warranty work so being independent we cannot carry out warranty work.
